After Lifting Ban On Religious Gatherings, FG Tells Nigerians When Schools Will Reopen

The Federal Government has given answers to questions Nigerians are asking regarding reopening of schools.

The Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 in its daily briefing on Monday said all schools would remain closed for now.

Personal Assistant on New Media to Muhammadu Buhari , Bashir Ahmad, tweeted, “For now, all the schools are to remain closed, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 announces the directive”.

“The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 has requested the Aviation Industry to start developing protocols for domestic flights to possibly resume from June 21.

“The interstate travel remains prohibited except for goods and essential travel, the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 announces.”

Also, the Federal Government has ordered the reopening of churches and mosques to enable worship of the believers. However, the necessary guidelines and safety measures must be adhered to.

This generated knocks as Nigerians slammed the Government for reopening churches/mosques and leaving schools closed.
