Typically, we believe all business environments require us to dress in a certain way which we term “Conservative”. This dress sense requires us to wear certain shades of color, certain fabrics and look a certain type of way, however we must understand that not all business environments requires you to dress this way. For etiquette’s sake the business environment has been broken down into four and we are directing our binoculars into the business casual environment.
The business casual work environment is different from the casual environment, this environment requires outfits that are not as strict as the Business formal but there is also a rule against some type of dressing unlike the casual environment where any thing goes. So many people have found it a bit confusing as their orientation manual says “Business casual” and they are left confused on what choices to make when it comes to corporate outfits. Its actually quite easy and the first thing you should note is that, polo’s, dresses, kahaki’s, slacks, dress shirts, open collars etc are allowed, mostly this environments frowns at too much exposure of the skin e.g ultra mini skirts and dresses, therefore once you avoid showing too much skin, you are good to go.
There is one thing to say something and there is another thing known as ‘inspiration’, if you work in a business casual environment and you are looking for inspiration then you are reading the right post as we have created a look-book that would help you;
